According to its website, the Plant Palate is a vegan food delivery-only restaurant based in Poughkeepsie and specializing in 100% plant-based empanadas and other vegan dishes.
Founded by Poughkeepsie native Anthony Taylor, who transitioned to a vegan diet in 2017, the business aims to demonstrate that favorite meals can be made vegan without sacrificing rich flavor, per its website.
Its diverse menu includes signature empanadas filled with meatless chorizo, potatoes, corn, olives, and cilantro in an oat milk cream sauce, as well as other innovative plant-based dishes.
A Readers' Choice voter called the Plant Palate "The best finger-licking-good-can’t-even-tell-you're-eating-vegan food."
With 15 years of experience in the food industry, Anthony Taylor began sharing his vegan creations with friends and family, leading to the establishment of the Plant Palate, per the restaurant's website.
